Our History

DUBAKH Sports Private Limited, previously recognized as Tyllilang Basketball Academy, has been dedicated to sports development and nurturing young talent in Shillong since 2017. Our journey began in collaboration with Pearly Dew Higher Secondary School, with the goal of offering structured basketball coaching. Over the past seven years, we have committed ourselves to teaching essential basketball skills while also instilling core values that support both mental and physical development through our youth basketball programs.

Our mission is to empower youth through sports development, specifically through our youth basketball programs. We offer young athletes opportunities to grow and excel both on and off the court. We believe in nurturing talent, fostering resilience, and building character through basketball coaching, preparing our athletes for all of life’s challenges.

Founder’s Story – Coach Dulon Banjop Kharsati

Born and raised in Shillong, Coach Dulon’s journey in basketball coaching is a story of perseverance, passion, and purpose. From representing Meghalaya in multiple national championships to chasing his dreams across colleges in South India, his path was marked by determination despite setbacks. After years of striving to break into the professional circuit and facing financial challenges, Dulon rediscovered his calling—not just as a player, but as a mentor in sports development. Earning a prestigious All India Rank 2 in the FIBA WABC Level 1 Coaching Certification, he returned home with a renewed vision: to build a basketball culture from the grassroots through youth basketball programs. He founded DUBAKH SPORTS PRIVATE LIMITED to empower the youth of Northeast India with world-class coaching, discipline, and opportunity. Today, his unwavering commitment has transformed DUBAKH into a symbol of hope, excellence, and community development through sport.
